BSH Hausgeräte GmbH is the largest manufacturer of household appliances in Europe. In addition to the global brands Bosch and Siemens as well as Gaggenau and Neff, the BSH brand portfolio also includes Thermador, Balay, Profilo, Constructa, Pitsos and Coldex.

The product portfolio ranges from stoves and ovens to dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, refrigerators and freezers through to small household appliances such as vacuum cleaners, fully automatic coffee machines and food processors.

In its more than 50-year history, BSH has developed into one of the world’s leading manufacturers of household appliances. In order to remain successful in international competition, BSH relies on the continuous qualification of its dealers and sales staff: only through constant further training can they expand their knowledge and thus achieve a real competitive advantage.


Global expansion of customer service in the Consumer Products division

BSH offers its customers a broad and innovative range of small household appliances – consumer products – for coffee preparation, floor care, textile care, liquid health, kitchen appliances and automated cooking.

Dealers, internal sales staff, product ambassadors and customer service staff also require specific training for these appliances in order to be able to provide customers with competent advice, sales support and answer any questions they may have.

With the aim of providing didactically prepared product information about BSH Consumer Products at the point of sale, an innovative range of learning materials was developed in collaboration with IM|S. These can be accessed via netTrainment, BSH’s platform based on the hiveQ Learning Management System (LMS). This prepares customers and partners for customer meetings in just a short time!”

This is precisely why BSH Hausgeräte is working with IM|S to develop online training courses that are characterized by optimal visual preparation of the content and short learning times and can be accessed directly at the point of sale.

For example, a didactically prepared web-based training course provides information about the multifunctional Bosch Cookit kitchen appliance within a few minutes. Information is provided on commissioning and various automatic programs, step-by-step instructions are shared and final knowledge checks are carried out to test the user’s own knowledge of the appliance and to consolidate the acquired knowledge in the long term.

The didactic approach has therefore been refined and aims to convey the most important information in a short space of time:

A product film shows the most important facts at a glance. With the help of an overview image in the online training, which focuses on the product, a quick impression of the most important information and training topics is conveyed. An index element then enables the learner to navigate to this exact point in the online training to obtain detailed information on this specific topic.

A short knowledge check concludes the training in order to increase the interaction of the learning group with the product and to deepen their knowledge of the product.

This means that participants leave the training with a positive feeling and know the product so that they can present it in the best possible way.

The learning offer from netTrainment is specially tailored to the needs of BSH Hausgeräte dealers and partners, who only have a limited amount of time to familiarize themselves with new BSH consumer products.
