Use of Google Analytics

This website (hereinafter referred to as “website”) uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc (hereinafter referred to as “Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymization on these websites, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

The purpose of the data processing is to evaluate the use of the website and to compile reports on activities on the website. Based on the use of the website and the Internet, further related services are then to be provided. The processing is based on the legitimate interest of the website operator.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Google reCAPTCHA

We use “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter “reCAPTCHA”) on this website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to check whether data is entered on this website (e.g. in a contact form) by a human or by an automated program. For this purpose, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, time spent on the website by the website visitor or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google. The reCAPTCHA analyses run completely in the background. Website visitors are not informed that an analysis is taking place.

The data is stored and analyzed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its website from abusive automated spying and SPAM. If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user’s terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time. For more information about Google reCAPTCHA, please refer to the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Terms of Service at the following links:

Capterra

On our website, we use the conversion tracking tool of Capterra Inc., a US company based at 1201 Wilson Blvd, 9th Floor, Arlington, VA 22209, USA (“Capterra”). Capterra is a platform for software selection based on the ratings of other users.

If you trigger a so-called conversion event on our website (e.g. filling out a form to receive a demo version), Capterra will set a cookie to recognize if and when you have triggered a conversion event. The information generated is transferred to Capterra’s servers and processed there. We receive an evaluation of the number of conversion events from Capterra in order to be able to analyze the success of our advertising campaigns.

You can find more information about Capterra’s data processing in the privacy policy at https://www.capterra.com.de/legal/privacy-policy.

The legal basis for our processing of your data is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. You give your consent via our cookie banner. Please note that Capterra is a company from the USA. According to a recent ruling by the European Court of Justice (ECJ), there is no adequate level of data protection in the USA and therefore a risk to the protection of your data. For example, under certain circumstances your data may be processed by US authorities for monitoring and surveillance purposes. If you still wish to consent to the use of this tool, you can select this via the cookie banner. Once the new EU standard data protection clauses have been implemented, these will form the legal basis for the transfer of data to third countries.

Hotjar

We use Hotjar to better understand the needs of our users and to optimize the offer and experience on this website. Hotjar’s technology gives us a better understanding of our users’ experiences (e.g. how much time users spend on which pages, which links they click on, what they like and dislike, etc.) and helps us to tailor our offering to our users’ feedback. Hotjar works with cookies and other technologies to collect data about the behavior of our users and their end devices, in particular IP address of the device (is only recorded and stored in anonymized form during your website use), screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), information about the browser used, location (country only), preferred language for displaying our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually prohibited from selling the data collected on our behalf.

Microsoft Advertising

We use the Microsoft Advertising service of the provider Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited (Ireland/EU) (formerly Bing Ads) on our website. Microsoft Advertising is an online marketing service that uses the Universal Event Tracking (UET) tool to help us display targeted advertisements via the Microsoft Bing search engines. Microsoft Advertising uses cookies for this purpose. This involves processing personal data in the form of online identifiers (including cookie identifiers), IP addresses, device identifiers and information about device and browser settings.

Microsoft Advertising collects data via UET that we can use to track target groups thanks to remarketing lists. For this purpose, a cookie is stored on the end device used when you visit our website. This enables Microsoft Advertising to recognize that our website has been visited and to display an advertisement when Microsoft Bing or Yahoo is used later. The information is also used to create conversion statistics, i.e. to record how many users have reached our website after clicking on an ad. This tells us the total number of users who clicked on our ad and were redirected to our website. However, we do not receive any information with which users can be personally identified.

You can deactivate personalized advertising at Microsoft at: https://about.ads.microsoft.com/de-de/ressourcen/richtlinien/personalisierte-anzeigen.

Further information on data protection at Microsoft can be found in Microsoft’s data protection information at https://privacy.microsoft.com/de-de/privacystatement.

We embed YouTube videos on some of our web pages. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. YouTube is informed which pages you visit. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behavior to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand. When a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behavior. If you have deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google Ad program, you will not have to expect any such cookies when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser. Further information on data protection at “YouTube” can be found in the provider’s privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

For this purpose, a javascript-based code is used to collect company-related data and the corresponding use. The data collected using this technology is encrypted using a non-reversible one-way function (known as hashing).
