For every installation we plant a tree – this is how we make our software climate positive
Our software products hiveQ & Classroom Manager are climate positive. This means that with each installation more CO2 is compensated than is caused. We plant the trees through our experienced partner Treedom. In addition to storing CO2, this project contributes to other goals, such as combating soil erosion and desertification, as well as directly financing small farmers & agricultural cooperatives.
Our data center is powered by 100% green electricity from hydropower
At just 24g/kWh, hydropower is one of the least CO2-emitting energy sources. Together with our IM|S forest (each customer installation plants a tree), we take more greenhouse gases out of the air than we cause.
Audited energy management according to ISO 50001
ISO 50001 is a voluntary international standard that commits us to systematically manage energy efficiency in our data center. The aim is to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions. Annual periodic audits and re-certification take place every three years.
Protecting the climate with water from the tap
IM|S is part of the trinkfair campaign of Fairantwortung gAG , Stadtwerke Ettlingen and Stadtwerke Karlsruhe. We draw the attention of employees and customers to the many advantages of tap water. On average, 0.35g of CO2 is emitted per liter of tap water, while our climate-neutral water suppliers emit 0g of CO2.
Internal IM|S Sustainability Expert
We commit ourselves to taking a further step towards sustainability every year. Our IM|S Sustainability Expert continuously checks and introduces new measures. In addition, they are the contact person for employees, customers and the public on the subject of sustainability.
